EXPLORING BOGOTA : IDENTITY, HISTORY AND CULTURE IN THREE PLACES.

At the beginning, Bogota, the capital city of Colombia hosts important places that they shows their culture, history and wealth academic. We will visit three of these places, that are: “Museo del Oro”, “Teatro al aire libre de la media torta” and “Universidad de los Andes”. That are emblematic p laces that conserves the cultural identity of the city of Bogota with the passing of the years. The “Museo del Oro” preserves the most collection of pre-hispanic goldsmithing. The “Teatro Media Torta”, was inaugurated in 1944, moreover,  it´s a free acces scenario of the musical and artistic expresion. The “Universidad de los Andes”, was inaugurated in 1948, this sites reflects the historic identity of the city.

Also, The “Museo del Oro” is a very important museum of the city of Bogota all of the tourists wants to visit it. The “Museo del Oro” is located on Avenue 6, Street 15-88 in “Santa Fe”. It´s inaugurated on december 22 of 1939, the first object in the museum is “Poporo Quimbaya”. Besides, The museum open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m, the prize of entrance is $5.000 colombian pesos, aproximated 1,22 american dollars. I really recommend you to visit this museum because objects in the museum are very interesting. 

 

 

Besides, The “teatro al aire libre la media torta” the favourite place for the university students, is a theater located in neighborhood of “Santa Fe”, the artists of rap and urban music loves this site because it has a grate space for urban presentations. Its founded on 1936 by Jorge Eliecer Gaitan, it´s created for peasants and inmigrants that arrive to Colombia. As a result, If people want to go to special place for listening urban music, you should go to “Teatro la Media Torta”. 

 

In addtion, The “Universidad de los Andes” is of the best university of Colombia by  the grate level of learning. It is foundated on 1948, it´s located in Avenue 1, Street 18a-12 in historic center of Bogota. The university of los andes is one of the most prestigious university of Colombia and latin america. The studens of this university really love it but is very expensive. For this reason, A lot of foreigners students decides to arrive in Colombia to study in this university, is really grated place.  

In the heart of La Candelaria, Bogota’s historic center, you’ll find a restaurant that tradition and flavor. Moreover, he also said that this theater has a interesting history because was founded by Jorge Eliecer Gaitan. Felipe said that the university of “Los Andes” is the best university of Colombia by excellency.
